1. BHARAT CONNECT Register: Click on
this icon to register with BCL ISP.
2. BHARAT CONNECT Utilities: Click on
this icon and explore the CD for various kinds
of software like compression software, video
software, games, FTP software, etc.

Setting up your Connection
|
Preparation
of Installation
During
the installation process, check for the necessary
components to get connected to the Internet.
The necessary components are CD ROM Drive, Modem,
Dial-up Networking, Dial-up Adapter and TCP/IP
Protocol.

Modem
Check if the modem is connected to the computer,
powered on and the telephone line is properly
plugged into it (refer your modem manual). In
case the modem is not installed on the system,
follow the steps mentioned here:
1. Click on Start >Settings>Control Panel.
2. Double click Modems icon.
3. Click on Add>Next.
4. If Windows finds a modem, then click on Next>Finish.
5. If needed, specify the driver from the list
or click on Have Disk.
6. If Windows does not find your modem, then click
on Next and select your modem from the list.
7. Click on Next and select the port.
8. Click on Next>Finish.

Dial-up
Networking
Double-click on "My Computer" icon on your desktop
to check if Dial-up Networking is installed
or not. In case it is not, follow the steps
mentioned here:
· Close all applications
· Click on the Start>Settings>Control Panel.
· Double click Add/Remove Programs icon.
· Click on Windows Setup>Communication check
box>Details>Dial-up Networking> Ok>Apply/Ok.
Windows might prompt for the set-up/CD diskette.
Insert the CD/Diskette to install Dial-up networking.

Dial-up
Adapter
If Dial-up Adapter is not installed on the system,
the user will be prompted with a message saying
"Dial-up Adapter is not installed" and following
wizard will be displayed for the user to install
it. Click Ok after selecting the Dial-up Adapter
from Microsoft.
Installation Steps:
· Close all applications
· Click on the Start>Settings>Control Panel.
· Double click on the Network icon.
. Click on Configuration > Add > Adapter > Add
> Microsoft >Dial-up Adapter > Ok. .
